The famous leaker Ice Universe has predicted Samsung to release One UI 8.0 version next instead of One UI 7.1 or One UI 7.1.1 update. The tipster mentions the company has decided to skip two major One UI updates, and will jump to the largest software. The reason behind this decision is not clear yet, nor has Ice Universe revealed it. Samsung is currently working on One UI 7.0 beta for its flagship and mid-range phones and tablets. We could see One UI 8.0 firmware in September this year on the Galaxy S25 series.
In this yearβs One UI update schedule, Samsung is far behind in releasing a new version to the older devices. One UI 7 beta version was initiated in December last year, and since then, it is still running for the Galaxy S24 series. According to the report, the beta program will start for Galaxy S23, Fold 6, Flip 6, and Galaxy A55 smartphones. The stable version for Galaxy S24 to roll out in April, later followed by other Galaxy devices.
