The Galaxy S21 series has become the first flagship S lineup phones to receive the latest February security patch by beating Galaxy S23 & S22 series devices. After Galaxy Z Flip 3, it is another smartphone to grab the new patch. The firmware version G99*BXXS9FXAH is rolling out in Switzerland with a 255MB file weight. It is a regular patch and doesnβt guarantee any new functions with it. Although the official changelog mentions bringing more security to the device.
In a new patch, Samsung & Google have washed out over 61 serious and minor vulnerabilities from the code. It is rolling out in the European region, so other users in those circles should check for the February security patch on the Galaxy S21 series. This 2021 flagship phone is eligible to get the new One UI 6.1 version in the coming weeks or months. The new Camera Shift AI feature will also come to Galaxy S21 in the Enhance-X app.
