As per the new finding, Samsung may support 7 years of OS software updates for Galaxy S24, S24+ & S24 Ultra smartphones. Yes, you heard right, major OS updates for long seven years and not just security updates. For now, Samsung offers four years of major OS updates and five years of regular security patches.
If this becomes a reality, then Samsung will beat Apple in software support. All the iPhones receive iOS updates for six years, and Samsung will provide One UI updates for 7 years straight. It would be nice if the company extended this policy for the Galaxy S23 series and new foldable phones. With the launch of Galaxy S24 Ultra, the company doesnβt want to miss anything.
