The sad news for Galaxy Note 20 series users is that Samsung has terminated it from monthly security updates. From now on, the Note 20 series phone will never receive any major Android updates or monthly patches. The August security patch was their last update as they both completed 4 years of update policy. The company will only deliver new software if there is any critical issue in the device.
The Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are Samsung’s last-of-its-kind phablet phones. The Note line served very well for users who wanted bigger phones with S Pen support. Samsung terminated its Galaxy Note series in 2020 and continued with Galaxy S Ultra lineup. It was disappointing decision for many Note fans out there, but the small gap between Note series & Galaxy S series was narrow.
